Dr. Stephanie Wilken is a therapeutic optometrist who grew up nearby in Irving, Texas.  She completed her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University and graduated from The University of Houston College of Optometry where she earned her doctorate with honors.  She began practicing optometry in Highland Park until she and her husband decided to open their own practice in Coppell in 2002.  She is board certified in primary eye care and specializes in pediatric examinations, Ortho-keratology, contact lenses, laser vision correction and treatment of occular disease.

Dr. Bret Wilken grew up in western Kansas.  He graduated from Kansas State University and graduated with honors from The University of Houston College of Optometry.  He practiced as an associate with a large group in Richardson for 8 years and opened his own office with his wife in 2002.  He became a board certified Optometric Glaucoma Specialist in 2006.  He is excellent at diagnosing and treating unusual eye diseases.  He also specializes in contact lenses and laser vision correction.

Stephanie and Bret have 3 children: Jack (March 2003) and twins, Kate and Luke (April 2007).  Stephanie loves getting to know her patients personally and sharing in a small part of their lives.  Other than playing with her children, her favorite pastime is decorating and crafting (when time allows).  Bret is a sports enthusiast who will challenge anyone to random sports trivia.  He loves building and woodworking (again, when time allows). Their favorite days are spent doing something all five can enjoy .
